ABOUT
SHARON SMITH, CAKE CREATOR
Since 2009 I have been creating and decorating cakes. Over the years I moved to specialise in bespoke wedding and celebration cakes as this allows me to release my creative flair.
The first cake I created was in 2009 for my eldest son’s girlfriend’s 21st birthday. What really drew me into creating cakes was the decoration. I love the creativity and being able to ‘play’ with ideas and make things.
I love to hear customer’s celebration plans, and it’s very important customers feel confident in what I’ll be creating for them.
Before we get started I ask a lot of questions to understand what customers are looking for. Then I can go away and research and enhance their ideas. To have a customer place their trust in me to create a bespoke cake especially for them is a great feeling.

In my early days of cake decorating I was trained by “the royal cake maker Dawn Blunden”. She has since become a wonderful friend.
I bake and decorate in my baking kitchen in the small town of Crowland, a few miles from The Deepings and Peterborough.

When I’m not cake decorating I’m usually clearing up the mess in my kitchen or spending time with my ever expanding family with four sons, three daughter-in-laws and seven grandchildren.
